CEO and Founder

An entrepreneur at heart, David founded NSE in 2010 and has steered the organisation into becoming a leading renewable energy partner in Africa. With projects now completed in eight countries, his passion for accelerating access to renewable energy across the continent has led NSE to evolve into an award-winning, vertically integrated energy provider with three focussed divisions: Assets, EPC and Operations & Maintenance.

Chief Financial Officer

As chief financial officer, Tamee leads the business’ financial strategy, planning and management. Her expertise that includes financial management and reporting, governance, risk and controls, audit and assurance, project management , financial modelling, business & systems development, is grounded on more than twenty years of experience in senior roles in financial services and renewable energy sectors. Tamee plays a key role in the organisation’s strategic direction and has been integral in NSE’s vertical integration.
Tamee is a registered Chartered Accountant.

Ryno Jordaan

Chief Technology Officer

Ryno is an electrical engineer with more than fifteen years of experience on complex energy projects that include the 50 MW CSP site at Khi and numerous grid-tied and microgrid systems, additional to several years of general electrical design experience in the building services industry. He is highly specialised and oversees all engineering design and budgets at NSE, as well as the implementation of new technologies in the business.

Head of Business Development

As the leader of a dynamic execution team, Ryno oversees the development and implementation of NSE’s grid-tied and micro-grid PV systems. He is a detail-focused leader with extensive experience in rooftop and fixed-tilt & single-axis tracker ground mounted systems in South Africa. His expertise is underpinned by a solid understanding of optimizing business processes and sustainable solutions to the challenges in the renewable energy sector.

Regional Manager (Kenya)

Based in Nairobi, Jason manages NSE’s east African business and oversees all operations in this region. With experience in risk management, project management, strategy and process implementation and forecasting in the renewable energy sector, he leads the company’s strategic partnership development, contracts and key business functions in East Africa.

Engineering Manager

Albertu has been NSE’s engineering manager for over five years . In this role, he manages the engineering team, manages tender processes and adjudication, overseas research and development of projects as well as being NSE’s lead on project design approvals. He specialises in renewable energy and electromagnetic design of reluctance synchronous and permanent magnet machines.

Commercial Director

Ilya has spent more than twenty years building up experience in the renewable energy sectors of five countries, and commands expertise in solar lease structuring, carbon offsets, project development and financial modelling. As commercial director at NSE, he manages the company’s power purchasing agreement based energy portfolio.

Head of Finance

As the Head of Finance for NSE, Simone oversees the management of the company’s financial function. Her experience in financial management spans across a number of industries including financial services, hospitality and FMCGs. She is passionate about a sustainable future and believes in the potential of renewable energy to take the continent forward.
Simone is a registered Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales.
